Formulation of a Structural Equation Relating Remotely Sensed Electron Transport Rate Index to Photosynthesis Activity

چکیده
Chlorophyll fluorescence can be remotely sensed in open fields via the Fraunhofer atmospheric absorption lines of oxygen and is termed Solar-Induced Fluorescence (SIF). SIF has been extensively related to carbon assimilation at global ecology scale was interpreted as electron transport rate. However, shown unrelated directly finer-scale resolution may other photosynthetic processes, such non-photochemical quenching. This raises question how exactly relates actual activity. Based on a recently introduced spectral index that photochemical fraction rate, this study presents formulation structural equation, relating rate yield which considers various fates energetic quanta excitation. The proposed equations are used examine interpret relation between novel seasonal growth corn (Z. mays Sh2, ‘super sweet’) platform fertilization concentration gradient. Potential uses, practical theoretical, for discussed.

Relating Remotely Sensed Optical Variability to Marine Benthic Biodiversity
Biodiversity is important in maintaining ecosystem viability, and the availability of adequate biodiversity data is a prerequisite for the sustainable management of natural resources. As such, there is a clear need to map biodiversity at high spatial resolutions across large areas. Airborne and spaceborne optical remote sensing is a potential tool to provide such biodiversity data. The spectral...
متن کاملRelating Demographic Characteristics of a Small Mammal to Remotely Sensed Forest-Stand Condition
Many ecological systems around the world are changing rapidly in response to direct (land-use change) and indirect (climate change) human actions. We need tools to assess dynamically, and over appropriate management scales, condition of ecosystems and their responses to potential mitigation of pressures. Using a validated model, we determined whether stand condition of floodplain forests is rel...
متن کاملGeoregistration of Remotely Sensed Imagery
DEFINITION Georegistration is the alignment of an unreferenced image with a geodetically (latitude, longitude, and elevation based) calibrated reference image [1]. In general, this process aligns two images (satellite is the most common, but is not limited to satellite images) and correlating the images to a physical location by examining a set of distinguishable points. Figure 1 shows an examp...
متن کاملSelection of Remotely Sensed Data
An increasing number of sensors are available for forest ecologists and managers seeking to map attributes of forest canopy cover, forest structure and composition, and their dynamics. This Chapter seeks to put these advances within the context of the needs of forest managers and scientists. To do so, we review the basic physics behind a variety of imagery types, discuss fundamental limitations...
